THE GREAT BARN DANCE – PAVILLION CULTURAL CENTRE GROUNDS 7.00pm – 9.00pmHighly regarded Set Dancer Padraig McEneany from Ireland and acclaimed Sean Nós Step dancer KieranJordan who hails from Boston, will take you through age old sets and steps around the floor to the beatIrelands Traditional Music. Step dancer extrordinaire Donny Golden will highlight the Irish Step Dance likeother. Old Style Step will be in the capable hands or should I say feet of our own Regan Wick. I am sure hislovely daughter Mary will grace us with her presence and dance a step or two with her Dad. Bernadette Fee andPeter Mc Kiernan will showcase the Irish Waltz and the Irish Jive, two dances that have lasted the test of timein partner dancing. Bring the Family. Bring the Dancing Shoes and Kick up your Heels.Music for the evening will be provided by The Pride of Moyvane Céilí Band under the leadership ofMargie Mulvihill on flute and her husband John Reynolds on Fiddle. Accordion player Seagda Coyle, KT Boyleon piano and Michael Fee on céilí drums will join Margie and John. Later the incredible duo of MattCranitch and Jackie Daly will being their much loved Sliabh Luachra music to the floor for a few sets. Billy McComiskey who needs no introduction any of us for the exquisite accordion playing will drop in for a fewtunes as will renowned accordion player Benny Murphy.A Grand Barn Dance indeed. |
